Who WE ARE

Honoring Heroes

Welcome to the Citrus Heights Veterans Memorial Project, a dedicated initiative with a singular mission: to honor and remember the courageous men and women who have served our nation. Our goal is to build a permanent veterans memorial in Citrus Heights—a place where the community can gather, reflect, and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by our heroes.

Our project is fueled by the commitment of local veterans, families, and community leaders who believe that our veterans deserve more than just words of gratitude. We envision a memorial that not only stands as a symbol of honor but also serves as a beacon of remembrance for future generations.

The Wall That Heals

In 2023, the City of Citrus Heights was selected to host The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center. The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
